Countdown!!!
10 days missing for HALLOWEEN!
Unfortunately here in Portugal people don't really celebrate Halloween which makes me really sad, but ever since I was a little kid my mother used to throw me these awesome parties every year so even thought I'm Portuguese Halloween is a big part of me.
With only 10 days missing I decided I don't have to hold my self anymore and I can now enter every Halloween themed shop I can find and just start decorating my house, yehiii!

Every little detail counts so lets get started!! :D
(Sorry but I had to Photoshop my Wifi password :b )
You can easily make your home a bit more "halloweeny" by adding simple details like this one to causal objects from your daily life.
For this detail I just cut out those cute pumpkins from the "Lidl" October catalog and just added them to the frame. You could spread details like this all over the place to make it feel more festive and that is already a great start up for an amazing decoration.
This is a really simple post but I'll try to come back with more ideas and share with you the excitement I feel for Halloween!

Is there any better definition of happiness than everything that's related to that warm cozy feeling? I love everything that gives me a feeling of comfort and relaxation, and that's why I absolutely adore Autumn and Winter: oh the rain falling outside, the fires, the sound of the crunchy leaves cracking as I walk on the streets scented with roasted chestnuts... and the blankets, fluffy socks, books, films, and ohh tea...
Autumn just started here in Porto, so today I decided to celebrate! and what better way to do so than having a delicious mug of "homemade" Chai Latte ?
Chai Tea is simply a blend of black tea with many spices (cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, anise seed, fennel and ginger) so you can easily do this blend yourself. This one in the picture I actually bought from "Kingfisher Tea" which is a small Irish tea company where I had the pleasure to work as a volunteer for a month this year. If you are a tea lover like me I really recommend trying their blends! ( http://kingfishertea.com/ )
It is really simple to do a great Chai Latte, the secret is only to boil the milk and water with the tea on a pan for at least 20 minutes to really allow the spices to release their flavors.
Some people like to mix water and milk (half/half) but I actually prefer using only milk.
Sometimes I like to add to the milk a bit of vanilla bean to create a Chai Vanilla Latte.

Inspired by the smell of spices, I decided to challenge myself to post many different "autumny" ideas on my blog from cooking, to decoration and Pinterest DIY's I spent years pinning and never actually doing them, so we shall see what comes from this moment of delusion! :)

Well hello internet... I guess today is the day that another
insignificant blog (among millions of them) is created. My name is Zoé, and
only for that reason I should stop right here! We already have a beautiful and
successful Zoe on the blog/vlog world, we certainly don't need another one...
PLUS I'm not even english so this thing will probably be loaded with grammar
mistakes! I should stick with Portuguese or French, my original languages, but
my grades on the french "Bac" (Baccalauréat = french school final
exam) wouldn't allow me, and as for portuguese... well... no.
In case you still haven't realized, I'm a Pessimist (please note the capital letter). Every thought I
may have about my future either ends up with myself completely lost in this
world, or, having the whole world full of amazing possibilities in my head but
just being stuck on my anxiety and completely forgetting what I like, what I
want and who I am. There are some moments (moments of complete delusion and
insanity) where I'm feeling brave enough to cross to the beautiful side of
positivism. On those moments I may even dare to think that I can succeed and
imagine myself having a successful career on translation and being surrounded
by a beautiful family on a beautiful "Tea House" / "my version
of Lush" that I own in Sweden! Don't worry, those thoughts vanish even
faster than the time they were there.
As you may guess, that's the main reason why I've decided to
create this blog: to figure out who I am (or at least try to) and what I like.
If you are reading this (and yeah, this is me having another
delusional moment), I'm sorry but I don't think I will be able to help you or
inspire you in any way. Maybe you can relate to something on my posts, because
after all I am quite an ordinary girl or even Maybe you are as pessimist as I
am and in that case we will be best friends forever! In either cases, welcome
to my blog.
